Description
The Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada is seeking up to three contractors to provide building envelope construction, repair, installation, inspection, testing, and maintenance services at Canadian missions abroad, including chancelleries, official residences, and staff quarters. Work will be issued on an as-and-when-requested basis through task authorizations and may include roofing, insulation, vapor and air barriers, cladding, framing, windows, curtain walls, storefronts, exterior doors, waterproofing, drainage, sheet metal, sealants, firestopping, masonry, concrete, facade restoration, and related testing and closeout documentation. The solicitation requires firm daily rates for specified construction resources, including project managers, foremen, masons, architectural glass and metal technicians, carpenters, roofing and flashing installers, and sheet metal workers. Bidders must demonstrate relevant corporate and project-manager experience, submit a technical proposal and completed Tender Form, and provide a subcontractor list. Up to three contracts may be awarded, with an initial 60-month contract period including three additional one-year extension options. The work may require travel, locally certified subcontractors, and personnel or facility security clearances up to Secret, depending on the task authorization.
