The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Research Service is seeking a contractor to repair exterior metal wall panels at Buildings 20 and 24. The work includes replacing one missing Building 20 panel with a close-match panel, overlaying damaged panels with weathertight close-match metal, and repairing damaged finish metal around a Building 24 overhead door. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, lifts, fall-protection equipment, transportation, waste removal, and other equipment required for the work. The contractor must inspect 360 degrees around the top four rows of Building 20 metal panels for integrity, damage, and attachment, then provide prioritized inspection findings, photographs, recommended repairs, and cost estimates. The quotation must include itemized pricing by location, technical specifications and product information, a completed Limitations on Subcontracting attachment, and key personnel qualifications. Shop drawings and a color sample are required before ordering the replacement panel. The work must be completed within 180 days after notice to proceed, with a five-year commercial metal wall panel installation experience requirement and specified site-access, safety, quality-control, and security procedures.
