Description
The City of Durham Department of Transportation is requesting bids for an on-call directional drill maintenance contract involving boring and the installation of conduit, tracer wire, and junction boxes at various locations. The contractor will furnish equipment, materials, and labor, complete utility locates, secure necessary permits, and account for incidental coring, mobilization, and traffic-control costs in the applicable unit prices. The Transportation Department will provide assignments and oversight; there is no guaranteed minimum quantity of work. The contract includes a one-year base period with up to two one-year renewals. The anticipated period of performance is fall 2026 through fall 2027, with 365 days to complete the work. Questions are due September 3, 2026, and electronic bids are not accepted.
