Description
Seminole County is seeking five contractors to perform minor public works construction projects valued at less than $7,500,000 per individual work order. Work will be authorized through written work orders, with individual projects solicited among the awarded contractors and assigned to the lowest-priced contractor able to meet the County's scheduled start and completion dates. Work orders will be awarded on a bid-unit-price basis. The scope includes drainage and culvert work, flexible paving and asphalt milling, grading and excavation, retaining walls, concrete and roadway improvements, erosion control, guardrails, fencing, sidewalks, traffic control, pavement markings, signals, fiber-optic work, water and reclaim-water mains, force mains, manholes, valves, hydrants, and related utility construction. Bidders must be Florida Department of Transportation prequalified in drainage, flexible paving, and grading; the prime contractor or utilized subcontractor must also be prequalified for retaining-wall work. The estimated usage is $10,000,000 annually, and the agreement has a three-year term with two optional one-year extensions.
