Description
The City of Newton is soliciting sealed bids for sidewalk improvements at multiple locations within its Wastewater Pollution Control Plant. Base-bid work includes removal of existing sidewalks, grading and subgrade preparation, installation of new concrete sidewalks with modified subbase, minor valve box adjustments, erosion control, and restoration of disturbed areas. Bid alternates include a 7-inch concrete driveway at the digester building bypass and other designated improvements. Work must comply with the project plans, the 2026 Iowa SUDAS Standard Specifications, City of Newton supplemental specifications, and applicable Iowa Department of Transportation standards. Work begins upon issuance of the Notice to Proceed and must be completed by April 30, 2027.
