The Department of Veterans Affairs is soliciting ten new Span-America Control Units, manufacturer part number 27686, described as Control Unit CCC LAL with a 3-foot cord and P11158 hooks. The units are high-performance digital pumps used to activate low-air-loss and alternating-pressure therapeutic modes on Custom Care Convertible low-air-loss mattresses and to treat Stage I–IV pressure injuries. The requirement is brand-name-only for Span-America Medical Systems products or authorized offerors providing the approved-source product. The units must be compatible with the Umano bed frames currently in use by the Dayton VA Medical Center. This is a firm-fixed-price supply contract with delivery required after receipt of order, FOB destination.
