Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is conducting market research for a potential nationwide requirements contract covering Haemonetics Cell Saver Elite Plus autotransfusion units, or equal products, along with disposable reservoirs, blood bags, processing kits, vacuum and aspiration lines, annual online recertification, a one-year platinum service agreement, and operator training. The equipment must support intraoperative and postoperative autologous blood collection, processing, washing, concentration, and reinfusion during medium- to high-blood-loss procedures. Responses must include product literature demonstrating compliance with nine stated salient characteristics, including automated processing modes, high red-blood-cell recovery, touchscreen-guided workflows, mobility for operating-room use, safety alarms and interlocks, applicable regulatory clearance, and quick-install disposable sets. Respondents must also provide company and manufacturer information, CAGE code or SAM unique entity identifier, business size, manufacturer/distributor status, country of origin, national supply capability, service-plan details, and a current OEM-certified authorized distributor letter.
