Description
The U.S. Air Force is conducting a Request for Information to identify industry sources capable of providing a ground-based, medium-caliber gun weapon system that fires affordable munitions and provides persistent defense against subsonic cruise missiles and Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Groups 1–5. The system must address fifteen baseline attributes, including probability of kill, effective range, elevation coverage, magazine depth, raid handling, integrated sensors, command-and-control integration, interoperability, cost per engagement, manpower, built-in testing, transportability, weapon safety, and multi-domain engagement capability. The RFI also seeks information on trade-space considerations involving munition performance and cost, gun capability, organic sensor capability and phenomenology, and rapid deployability. Responses must be unclassified, submitted as a PDF, use a maximum of 10 pages excluding the cover page, follow the specified naming convention, and use one-inch margins with 12-point Times New Roman font. Respondents must provide detailed company and teaming-partner information, including ownership, size status, business-system status, facility-clearance level, UEI, CAGE code, and anticipated NAICS code.
