Description
The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Research Service is soliciting quotations for laboratory analysis of approximately 300 to 1,000 cotton seed samples annually for the National Cotton Variety Test. Required measurements include oil, nitrogen/protein, and gossypol content using appropriate, accurate, and reliable methodologies, with moisture data reported alongside oil content. The work requires specialized sample preparation and analytical capabilities, including nitrogen measurement across the specified concentration range, fine grinding, controlled drying, and high-performance liquid chromatography procedures for gossypol analysis.
