Description
The City of Columbia is soliciting bids for repairs and improvements to approximately 3.1 miles of canal and dike infrastructure. The work includes upper-canal toe and slope repairs; removal and replacement of the lower canal embankment; temporary canal cofferdam and riverside protection berm construction and removal; dewatering; dredging and debris removal; controlled-fill placement and compaction; riprap, geotextile, erosion-control, turf, landscaping, and roadway restoration; spillway stoplog installation; site-lighting restoration; and restoration of walking paths and other appurtenances. The project also includes cultural-resource work associated with historic structures and archaeological resources, including salvage, monitoring, archaeological support, and work stoppage procedures for discoveries. Bidders must provide the required bid forms, subcontractor information, company overview and certification affidavit, bid bond, references, litigation and claims history, federal-funding certification, applicable Buy America and Section 3 acknowledgments, financial statements, licenses, and other required appendices. The contract provides for 730 calendar days to substantial completion, an additional 120 days to final completion, and 60 days for closeout. The solicitation requires online submission through the City's e-procurement system.
