Description
The City of Columbia is soliciting bids for a complete stormwater pond retrofit and sanitary sewer relocation project. Work includes grading and excavating an existing dry detention basin to create a permanent wet pool and additional dry storage; installing drainage structures, reinforced concrete pipe, a pond control structure, riprap, fencing, erosion and sediment controls, slope stabilization, seeding, and deep-pool plantings; and relocating approximately 1,021 linear feet of 12-inch PVC sanitary sewer, including bypass pumping, manholes, removal of existing pipe, and abandonment with flowable fill. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals; provide required South Carolina general contractor licensing documentation; submit technical qualifications, at least three similar-project references from the past five years, litigation and claims history, financial statements for the last three audit periods, the completed bid form, subcontractor information, bid bond, and other required appendices. The bid bond is 5 percent of the bid amount. The project has a stated construction period of 300 consecutive calendar days from the Notice to Proceed, consisting of 240 days for substantial completion and an additional 60 days for final completion. The City intends to award the lowest responsive and responsible bid.
