Description
Cleveland Metroparks is soliciting bids for demolition and site restoration at Forest Hill Park. The base work includes removal of approximately 46,000 square feet of tennis court pavement and stone subgrade, fencing and footers, lighting and light-pole bases; demolition of an approximately 2,400-square-foot storage structure and its approximately 3,600-square-foot driveway; demolition of an approximately 75,000-square-foot asphalt parking lot, curbing, and subgrade; utility disconnection and termination; hazardous-material abatement and disposal; backfilling, grading, topsoil placement, and hydroseeding. The work must protect existing trails, trees, utilities, and other natural features. A bid alternate covers demolition and disposal of a radio antenna, associated shed structure, foundations, and site restoration. The contractor must comply with applicable demolition, environmental, safety, and asbestos regulations. Asbestos abatement must be performed by a State of Ohio licensed or certified contractor, with required notifications, clearance sampling, air monitoring, disposal records, and final documentation. Bidders must submit the provided Bid Form, Personal Property Tax Delinquency Affidavit, Statement of Bidder's Qualifications, bid guaranty documentation, and any required corporate authorization, contract objections, alternatives, and addendum acceptance. The estimated cost, including the bid alternate and owner-directed allowance, is $465,000. Work must reach substantial completion by December 18, 2026.
