Description
The City of Cleveland, through the Mayor’s Office of Prevention, Intervention and Opportunity, is soliciting proposals from established providers to deliver 38 weeks of citywide out-of-school-time esports programming and career exploration for youth ages 8–18 at six Neighborhood Resource and Recreation Centers. Services are scheduled across fall, winter, spring, and summer sessions and must be delivered by trained staff on site during program hours. Programs must be culturally relevant, inclusive of youth with disabilities, and evidence-based or research-based in alignment with national out-of-school-time best practices. Proposals must describe the program design and delivery method, target age groups, site and space requirements, recruitment and retention strategy, calendar of events, assessment tools, expected outcomes, and alignment with City youth priorities. Providers must demonstrate prior program success, capacity to serve six sites, and connections between esports participation and college or career opportunities. Required ongoing responsibilities include daily attendance tracking, seasonal outcome reports, recruitment and registration support, data sharing, participation in City trainings and evaluations, and availability for council or committee testimony. The annual program budget may not exceed $120,000 for all six sites and four seasons.
