Description
Cleveland Metropolitan School District is seeking one or more qualified contractors for snow and ice management at approximately 61 facilities across four geographic regions. Services include plowing roadways, driveways, and parking areas; applying salt or approved noncorrosive ice melt; responding to emergency calls; widening cleared areas; and, when directed, hauling snow or pushing back perimeter piles. Sidewalk and walkway clearing is excluded. Contractors must provide sufficient equipment, trained personnel, backup capacity, weather monitoring, maintenance, and emergency response to meet required completion times, including clearing facilities by 6:00 a.m. and notifying the District by 5:30 a.m. of problems that may prevent timely completion. Proposers may bid on one, multiple, or all regions, and the District may award multiple contracts. Minimum capacity requirements include eight plow trucks, three wheel loaders, five skid steers, salt spreaders, snow-hauling equipment, at least five trained operators, and a dedicated operations manager. Proposals must include a transmittal cover letter, general information and qualifications, a response to the scope of work, cost proposal, references, and required District forms, including the Equipment Inventory Form and Pricing Form. The contract term is November 1, 2026, through November 1, 2029, with two one-year renewal options.
