Description
The Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District is soliciting sealed electronic bids for a requirements contract to supply and deliver sodium hypochlorite solution to its Easterly, Southerly, and Westerly wastewater treatment plants. The estimated requirement is up to 8,200,000 wet pounds, or approximately 820,000 gallons, over 12 months, although actual quantities are not guaranteed. Deliveries must be made in rubber-lined tanker trucks with a nominal capacity of at least 4,000 gallons, appropriate unloading equipment, containment systems, and certified weight documentation. The solution must contain at least 12.5% sodium hypochlorite by weight at delivery, meet specified appearance, pH, specific gravity, mercury, and impurity requirements, and be suitable for municipal wastewater disinfection. Bidders must submit the completed bid certification form and a company-letterhead statement confirming product specifications and manufacturer information. The solicitation also requires evidence of relevant wastewater chemical-supply experience, delivery capability, regulatory compliance, safety documentation, and adequate liability insurance; several additional qualification documents are required within 72 hours after bid opening for the two lowest and best bidders.
