Description
Western Municipal Water District is soliciting bids for construction of the first phase of the WWRF Recycled Water Pond Erosion Prevention Project, Specification W-335. The work will permanently repair and protect eroded slopes at the Western Water Recycling Facility's recycled water storage pond while maintaining continuous facility operations. The project includes excavation and disposal, on-site or imported fill, slope reconstruction to a 2:1 gradient, riprap paving, riprap-filled HDPE bags, geotextile fabric, roadway restoration, railings, precast catch basins, six-inch ductile iron drainage pipe, concrete V-ditches, stormwater pollution prevention, fugitive-dust control, and pre-construction video documentation. The project is limited to Phase 1; a separate second phase is not included. The engineer's probable construction cost is $1,500,000, with a 240-calendar-day completion period. Bidders must provide pricing for all bid items, hold a Class A general contractor license, comply with California prevailing-wage and Department of Industrial Relations registration requirements, and submit a 10% bid bond. The successful bidder must furnish 100% performance and payment bonds. The solicitation states that bids will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. The bid documents also require a mandatory pre-bid meeting, electronic submission through the procurement portal, and completion of the provided bid forms and supporting certifications.
