Description
The City of Riverside seeks a contractor to furnish labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals to construct a potable waterline system complete in place. The work includes approximately 380 linear feet of 54-inch mortar-lined and coated steel pipe, 80 linear feet of 36-inch mortar-lined and coated steel pipe, and 1,020 linear feet of 8-inch ductile iron pipe, along with valves and other appurtenances. Related work includes excavation, pipe installation, testing and disinfection, pavement restoration, traffic control, and coordination with City forces for system connections. The bid is for a lump-sum award, with an estimated value of $3.9 million and a stated project duration of 240 calendar days. Bidders must hold a valid California Class A or C-34 contractor license and meet the stated experience requirements for large potable water main projects. A 10% bid security is required; performance and payment bonds are each required at 100% of the contract price.
