Description
The City of Lowell is conducting a Request for Information to understand the current capacity of nonprofit, community-based, educational, recreational, cultural, and other organizations to expand summer opportunities for children, youth, and young adults. Respondents are asked to describe current summer programming, enrollment and capacity, potential additional participants and programming, possible locations, accessibility and inclusive-programming capabilities, barriers to participation, estimated costs, and existing or potential partnerships. The initiative also seeks information about summer employment opportunities for Lowell youth ages 14–24, including potential roles, hours, employment duration, responsibilities, training, supervision, and career-development opportunities. Responses may inform a future competitive RFP but do not guarantee funding, an award, or a contract. Respondents may use the City's response form or submit a narrative addressing the requested topics.
