Description
The City of Wichita and its agent, Legends Global, seek a contractor to remove and dispose of the existing rooftop unit serving the Bob Brown Expo Hall Kitchen and supply, install, and start up a replacement. The new unit must be a 30-ton, air-cooled packaged rooftop unit with cooling and hot-water heating, R-454B refrigerant, 208V/60Hz/3-phase power, and the specified controls, filtration, fan, damper, coil, access-door, isolation, and communications features. It must connect to the existing building control system or be equivalent to specified newer units, meet applicable codes and ASHRAE 90.1 standards, and include the specified compressor, labor, and refrigerant warranties. The contractor is responsible for verifying site conditions and dimensions, determining construction details, providing necessary labor and materials, obtaining applicable permits, and including piping and accessories. The proposal must address the scope, qualifications, project approach and timeline, references, pricing, and other mandatory response elements. Performance and labor-and-material payment bonds are required of the successful vendor; the certificate of insurance is due after award.
