Description
The State of Kansas is seeking a contractor to provide uninterrupted food services for the new 104-bed South Central Regional Mental Health Hospital. The scope includes menu planning, nutritional analysis, procurement, food preparation, portioning, tray assembly and identification, transportation, meal delivery and service, tray retrieval, dishwashing, sanitation, inventory control, waste management, quality assurance, reporting, and related technology. The contractor must provide three daily meals year-round, snacks, nourishments, nutritional supplements, regular and therapeutic diets, texture-modified meals, allergy accommodations, religious and cultural meals, late trays, meal replacements, and other clinically authorized services. The contractor must also support staff, guest, family, boxed, catering, meeting, holiday, special-event, and therapeutic-activity meals; maintain food-safety, infection-control, security, emergency-preparedness, and quality-improvement programs; provide qualified on-site management and staffing; maintain emergency food inventories; and comply with applicable healthcare, food-service, behavioral-health, and confidentiality requirements. The proposal must include a technical proposal, five-week sample menu, staffing matrix, technical questionnaire, implementation and transition plan, references, and a separate cost proposal. The contract is for five years with one optional 60-month renewal period.
