Description
The City of Wichita is soliciting bids for construction improvements on English Street east of Broadway. The work includes mobilization, site restoration, removal of existing structures, traffic control, pavement markings, excavation, pavement removal, reinforced crushed-rock base, reinforced concrete pavement, concrete curb and gutter, protection curb, sidewalk construction, detectable warning pavers, manhole and vault-box adjustments, water-meter adjustments, and erosion control. The project requires electronic submission through the City's Procurement Portal. A 5% bid bond or annual bid bond is required before bid opening. The successful bidder must furnish a 100% performance bond and a labor and material payment bond, although those bonds are post-award requirements. Work is to begin within 30 calendar days after contract award and be completed within 30 working days after the work-order start date. Bidders must have at least three years of experience providing similar services and must provide project supervision, quality control, appropriate materials, equipment, and labor.
