Description
The City of Wichita is soliciting bids for a one-year contract, with four one-year renewal options, to furnish trash and recycling containers and provide delivery, pickup, hauling, disposal, and related cleanup services for various city departments, boards, and agencies. Services include carts, dumpsters, compactors, roll-offs, recycling containers, scheduled collection, and on-call or as-needed service. The contractor must retrieve and return carts from designated locations, respond to service requests within the specified timeframes, replace damaged containers, clean up spilled trash, maintain adequate equipment and inventory, and provide a service schedule with the bid. The award will be based on the lowest and best total net bid, with pricing submitted for all listed groups through the procurement portal. The contractor must hold applicable licenses and permits, provide required insurance, comply with applicable federal, state, and local requirements, and be prepared to provide three similar references if requested. The solicitation also includes Federal Transit Administration contractual clauses because transit services are included in the scope.
