Description
Western Foothills Regional School Unit No. 10 is soliciting bids for exterior siding work at Hartford Sumner Elementary School. The project covers approximately 7,600 square feet of exterior wood siding, excluding doors and windows, and requires pricing for two options: repair and paint the existing siding, or remove and replace it with new siding. Option 1 includes repairing or replacing damaged siding boards, securing loose siding, filling defects, caulking, priming, applying two finish coats of exterior paint, protecting adjacent surfaces, debris removal, and final cleanup. Option 2 includes demolition and disposal of the existing siding, inspection of exposed sheathing, installation of weather-resistant barriers, new siding, trim, flashing, accessories, caulking, painting where required, and cleanup. Bidders must select a siding type from fiber cement, engineered wood, vinyl, composite, or another proposed material, and provide unit prices, estimated duration, warranty information, and payment terms. Proof of insurance and workers' compensation coverage are required.
