Description
The Goodwater Housing Authority, managed by the Alexander City Housing Authority, seeks a qualified, bonded, and licensed contractor to replace vinyl siding, soffit, and fascia on six apartment buildings at the Highlands site, covering apartments 125–140. The contractor must measure the work area, provide all labor, tools, materials, and power, install black double-board Dutch lap siding and two-board soffit, replace fascia metal and damaged or rotted wood as encountered, repaint aluminum gable vents black, and properly address wiring, conduit, fasteners, and related exterior components. The work also includes proper disposal of waste, daily cleanup and site safety, magnetic sweeping for stray fasteners, repair of any property damage, and compliance with manufacturer instructions and specified materials, including stainless-steel trim nails and black Dynaflex 230 caulk. A site visit is required. Proposals are evaluated on staffing and qualifications, relevant experience and past performance, understanding of the scope, and pricing. The successful contractor must maintain applicable licenses and provide specified insurance, with the housing authority named as an additional insured.
