This project involves the rehabilitation of approximately 12.5 miles of existing ATV trail, including 5 miles of snowmobile trail, within Androscoggin Riverlands State Park, which will improve the sustainability, durability, and recreational quality of the trail system through targeted tread rehabilitation, drainage and culvert improvements, and replacement of existing trail bridges. Description
The Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation, and Forestry, through the Bureau of Parks and Lands’ Off-road Recreational Vehicles Office, is seeking qualifications from a design-build team for the Androscoggin Riverlands State Park ATV Trail Rehabilitation Project (#3923). The selected team will provide final design, construction, coordination, permitting, cost estimating, contract-document preparation, and construction administration services. The project covers approximately 12.5 miles of existing ATV trail, including 5 miles of shared ATV/snowmobile trail. Work includes trail-surface stabilization, grading, surface hardening, drainage and culvert improvements, cleaning or replacement of culverts, reroute evaluation, and replacement of ten existing trail bridges using owner-provided designs. The project budget may not exceed $530,000, with completion scheduled by October 27, 2028. Firms will be evaluated through a qualifications-based selection process, including project experience, similar trail rehabilitation experience, team qualifications, workload, and business references.
