Description
The Lewiston-Auburn Water Pollution Control Authority is seeking written quotes for FY 2027 deliveries of sodium hypochlorite 15% trade solution (12.5% by weight) and sodium bisulfite 38% solution. Sodium hypochlorite is expected in approximately 4,000-gallon liquid truckloads, with approximately 24,000 gallons used during the April 15–October 31 effluent disinfection season. Sodium bisulfite deliveries may not exceed 5,000 gallons per load, generally approximately 4,000 gallons (about 43,600 pounds), with approximately 8,000 gallons used during the effluent chlorination/dechlorination season. Prices must be delivered prices, including product, freight, and all other charges. Deliveries are generally accepted Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., excluding holidays. Sodium bisulfite delivery equipment must be capable of lifting or pneumatically conveying the product approximately 35 feet to second-floor storage tanks, and safety data sheets must be provided before the first delivery. The quoted price must remain valid from January 1 through December 31, 2027.
