Description
This construction project involves installing a sidewalk beginning south of Hackmatack Road on Route 27, extending to a traffic circle, and continuing along Back River Road toward the ballfield. The work includes pavement removal, excavation, aggregate subbase, hot mix asphalt for sidewalks and roadway areas, concrete slipform curbs, detectable warning fields, catch basins, culvert pipes, riprap and ditch protection, guardrail, pavement markings, signage, traffic control, erosion and water-pollution controls, seeding, mulching, mobilization, and related work. The contractor must furnish the required labor, supervision, equipment, tools, supplies, permanent and temporary materials, quality control, documentation, and warranty work. The project includes utility coordination, in-stream and wetland protection requirements, a required preconstruction utility conference, and a required pre-paving meeting. Federal-aid requirements include disadvantaged-business-enterprise documentation, prevailing-wage compliance, and a minimum 30% self-performance requirement for the prime contractor. The contract completion date is May 27, 2027.
