Description
The Town of Oxford, Maine is soliciting bids for the supply and delivery of winter sand for the Oxford Public Works Department. The contractor will provide 3,000 cubic yards of screened winter sand meeting specified gradation requirements. The sand must be clean, hard, durable, sharp-grained particles free from organic matter, clay lumps, or other deleterious substances. The gradation must meet the following sieve requirements: 100% passing 1/2 inch, 80-100% passing #4, 0-35% passing #50, and 0-3% passing #200. The sand may be subject to testing by the Town or a third party. Delivery will be coordinated with the Public Works Foreman and made to the Oxford Public Works Department at 1162 Main Street, Oxford, Maine. Deliveries must occur between October 1 and October 30, 2026. Each delivery must be accompanied by a delivery slip signed by the Public Works Foreman or designee. Title and risk of loss pass to the Town upon acceptance of delivery.
