Description
The Bureau of Indian Affairs is soliciting a lump-sum proposal from an Indian Small Business Economic Enterprise for temporary roof coverings on 13 residential buildings at the Cheyenne River Agency. The contractor must furnish all labor, transportation, equipment, materials, testing, professional services, certifications, and engineering services necessary to install a complete temporary metal roofing system while leaving the existing shingles in place. The work includes installing minimum 29-gauge, Grade 80 steel panels with 9-inch rib spacing; removing roof vents, covering the openings, and installing ridge vents; installing boots around roof penetrations; installing new steel roofing and ridge caps; and properly handling any hazardous materials discovered. The panels must be white, and the work must comply with applicable building, safety, federal, state, and tribal requirements. The contractor must maintain tenant occupancy and coordinate work with the agency. The period of performance is 90 calendar days after issuance of the notice to proceed, with completion stated as 30 days after notice to proceed. A one-year minimum warranty applies to materials and workmanship.
