Description
The City of Lewiston is soliciting a contractor to perform tree pruning and removal at multiple locations, including streets, residences, and Montello School. The scope includes removing designated trees and branches, raising canopies over streets and sidewalks, pruning deadwood and branches away from structures and utilities, installing a cable system for a split-crotch tree, chipping brush, hauling wood, and completing daily site cleanup. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, tools, and materials; maintain safe vehicular and pedestrian traffic; comply with applicable safety standards; and hold a Maine license to perform tree work. Police details are required at specified locations and are to be scheduled by the City. The work must be completed within 60 days of contract signing. Proposals must be submitted on the City's Proposal Form with bid security, and subcontracting requires prior written approval.
