Description
Wood County is soliciting an established medical care services provider to deliver healthcare services at its juvenile residential center and juvenile detention center. The scope includes one on-site nurse at each facility for 28 hours per week, scheduled as four hours per day, seven days per week; physician services at the detention center for eight hours per month; and 24/7 on-call nursing coverage, with on-call services limited to telephone consultation. On-site services are required, and telehealth alternatives are not accepted. The awarded provider will also administer and order medications, provide approximately $600 per year in medical supplies for each facility, and perform the broader medical services and oversight described in the RFP. Separate pricing is required for each facility and for the optional full medication-administration service. The bidder must have at least five continuous years of corporate experience administering healthcare and must be an organization whose primary purpose is providing medical care services. Four references are required, and the proposal should describe relevant qualifications, policies, procedures, and experience. The proposal must include the completed Proposal Form and specified affidavits; bid security is waived. The anticipated contract commencement date for both facilities is October 1, 2026.
