Description
Mason County is requesting proposals for a comprehensive healthcare program serving individuals detained at the Mason County Jail and Mason County Juvenile Detention Center. The contractor must provide timely medical care, chronic and acute care, medication administration and pharmacy services, psychiatric and behavioral health coordination, substance-use and withdrawal treatment, medication for opioid use disorder, emergency response, specialty and hospital referrals, dental care, pregnancy-related care, discharge planning, continuity of care, medical records, and healthcare quality reporting. The contractor must provide at least 16 hours of on-site coverage per day, seven days per week, with appropriate after-hours and backup coverage. The proposal must address the service model, withdrawal protocols, staffing, quality improvement, electronic health record use, annual pricing, transition from the incumbent provider, and a proposed services contract. The initial contract term is 18 months with annual renewal options. The selected contractor must maintain specified liability, cyber, automobile, workers’ compensation, employer’s liability, and professional liability insurance and comply with applicable correctional healthcare, licensing, legal, and professional standards.
