Description
The County of San Diego is seeking an organizational provider to operate the Center for Child and Youth Psychiatry for children, adolescents, and young adults up to age 21 who are Medi-Cal beneficiaries, low-income, or uninsured. The contractor must provide a Medi-Cal-certified clinic and countywide outpatient behavioral health services, including psychiatric evaluation, medication management, System of Care medication support, Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program medication support, long-acting injectable medication services, Medication Assisted Treatment, and community or home-based services. Telehealth and at least one evening of appointments per week at each office or clinic site are required, with additional evening or weekend availability as needed. The scope also includes reviewing JV-220 applications for psychotropic medication within five business days, providing related provider consultation, conducting quarterly trainings, and maintaining an accessible medication resource website. The contractor must provide at least five direct clinical staff FTE, budget at least 1.5 psychiatry FTE plus 0.25 FTE for JV-220 processing, serve at least 600 unduplicated clients annually, obtain or maintain required Medi-Cal certification, and submit program, staffing, implementation, financial, reference, pricing, and compliance information. The anticipated term is one initial year with four one-year options, beginning July 1, 2027, with a maximum agreement amount of $15,316,308.
