Description
The City of Toledo is soliciting a lump-sum construction bid to renovate the TPD Alarms Building at 550 N Erie St. The scope includes LED lighting, duct cleaning, carpet replacement, lead-paint scraping and patching, painting, window shades, restroom fixtures and finishes, doors and hardware, handrails, ceiling tiles, exterior steel doors with safety glass, window repairs, office and storage-room modifications, secure doors with crash bars, kitchenette renovations, appliance replacement, phone-line removal, and flat-roof replacement as an alternate line item. The contractor must provide permits and stamped shop drawings covering electrical, plumbing, structural loads, and other applicable building-code information, and must include a proposed start date and completion timeline. The project is subject to prevailing-wage requirements, certified payroll reporting, insurance requirements, a 5% bid guaranty, and possible payment and performance bonds. A Project Labor Agreement may apply to contracts of $100,000 or more, and the successful contractor must comply with applicable background-check, fingerprinting, living-wage, and subcontractor-reporting requirements. The stated project duration is six months.
