Description
The U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Diplomatic Security, Physical Security Programs, is conducting market research on vendors capable of performing blast testing using an unmanned aerial system to transport an explosive payload directly to a target or release it to impact a target. Respondents should describe available UAS platforms and specifications, blast-testing methodologies, safety protocols, data collection and instrumentation capabilities, relevant unclassified experience, and range or test-site capabilities. Respondents must provide evidence of applicable Federal Aviation Administration authorization, federal explosives licenses or permits, and any additional federal, state, or local licenses required for the storage, handling, transport, and detonation of explosive materials. Responses should also address safety and risk mitigation, regulatory compliance history, applicable security clearances, company information, business size, and relevant contract vehicles. This is an RFI for informational and planning purposes only, not a request for proposals, quotations, or bids, and it does not commit the Government to a future procurement or award.
