Description
The U.S. Army Contracting Command–Rock Island is conducting market research to identify sources capable of manufacturing and delivering three products: 3,000 feet of M456 Type I, Class E detonating cord; M456 reinforced detonating cord; and 3,000 feet of M458 Type III inert detonating cord. The products must conform to Government-owned technical data packages and specified construction, dimensional, performance, waterproofing, and inert-material requirements. Required capabilities include explosive and pyrotechnic processing, loading and final-product load assembly and packaging, inspection, First Article Testing, and component- and end-item-level Conformance/Lot Acceptance Testing, including physical measurements and functional testing. Respondents must submit a tailored capabilities statement describing organizational and staff capabilities, available resources, anticipated subcontracting or teaming arrangements, and mitigation of material scarcity, price volatility, and production risks. This is a Sources Sought notice for informational market research only, not a solicitation or request for proposals; no award will result directly from the response.
