Description
Reef-Sunset Unified School District is requesting statements of qualifications from architectural firms to expand its prequalified pool for future facilities improvements. Potential work includes site inspection and evaluation; preliminary and final design; space planning; preparation of plans, specifications, and complete bid documents; agency approvals; and construction administration. Projects may include new or modernized preschool, transitional kindergarten, elementary, middle, and high school facilities, including science laboratories and Career Technical Education spaces. The District may use lease-leaseback, design-build, or design-bid-build delivery methods. Respondents must demonstrate relevant educational-facility experience, project management capabilities, cost-estimating and change-order history, quality-control procedures, experience with State School Facility Program and local projects, and knowledge of Division of the State Architect, Office of Public School Construction, and California Department of Education requirements. The submission is limited to ten single-sided pages, excluding specified covers, indexes, certain project materials, and photographs. The District intends to establish a prequalified pool effective through August 31, 2031, pending Board approval, and may later request proposals for specific projects from firms in the pool. Respondents must acknowledge and accept the District's standard architectural services agreement, including its indemnification, insurance, fingerprinting, and other compliance provisions.
