Description
The City of Birmingham is soliciting sealed proposals for construction enhancements at the Chester Street Garage. The work includes selective demolition; vehicle-entry and pedestrian canopies; decorative and replacement ceilings at elevator lobbies and stairs; canopy drainage; exterior banner supports and installation; signage and wayfinding fabrication and installation; coating and recoating affected areas; masonry repairs; and related structural, architectural, and electrical work. The project also includes removal and replacement of lighting systems, new LED interior and exterior lighting, lighting controls, supporting electrical work, utility modifications, permits, traffic and pedestrian protection, and coordination while the garage remains in use. Bidders must submit the completed agreement and bidder, cost, bid-breakdown, and Iran Sanctions Act certification forms, along with project experience, a project approach and timeline, team qualifications and resumes, subcontractor information, and three client references, including at least two similar projects. A performance bond and labor and material payment bond, each equal to 100% of the contract sum, are required.
