Description
The Michigan Department of Transportation is soliciting snow and ice removal services for six carpool parking lots in northern Oakland County and three lots in southern Oakland County. The scope includes plowing parking lots, driving areas, and roadway entrances and exits; furnishing and applying approved rock salt or alternate deicer products; and maintaining safe access seven days a week, including holidays. Automatic services must clear snow and ice by 6:00 a.m. following a snow or ice event, while on-call services must begin within two hours of the State's request. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, materials, supervision, and backup equipment; complete the provided pricing schedule and equipment list; maintain deicer safety data sheets in service vehicles; and service all lots within any region bid. The solicitation anticipates a one-year contract with three one-year renewal options, with up to two awards possible. Subcontracting is not permitted.
