Description
The City of Detroit is seeking a qualified manufacturer or authorized sales and service facility to furnish and deliver a new, latest-model large dual-broom vacuum sweeper. The required unit includes a minimum 16-cubic-yard hopper, a 26-foot minimum length, a 96- to 154-inch sweep path, tandem rear axle, at least 200 horsepower, a 350-gallon water tank, dust-suppression systems, safety and driver-assistance features, hydraulic systems, lighting, controls, tools, and related equipment. The unit must be completely built and assembled, delivered washed and prepared for service, and meet applicable federal, state, and local safety, lighting, transportation, and emissions requirements. The quote must include pricing for the sweeper, delivery, setup and calibration, battery and filter installation, brush replacement, parts and accessories, warranty coverage, and a full maintenance package. The vendor must provide warranty details, operating and diagnostic manuals, equipment line sheets, at least eight hours of mechanics training, on-site preventive maintenance, and arrangements for a factory inspection before delivery. The solicitation requires at least ten Midwest equipment users as references and completion of the respondent questionnaire, price sheet, technical specifications, required forms, and affidavits.
