Description
The Road Commission for Oakland County is soliciting bids for a six-month firm-fixed-price blanket order for sand chloride mix used for highway maintenance. The material must be natural sand, stone sand, or slag sand meeting specified gradation requirements and treated with liquid calcium chloride brine at a stated blend rate. Bidders must supply their own brine and storage tank, mix the material within the specified pre-shipment window, and provide advance notice before production and mixing. Approved-equal products may be offered, subject to the stated specifications. The awarded supplier will provide on-demand deliveries to six RCOC maintenance locations, with tailgate delivery and freight prepaid to the destination. The solicitation requires electronic submission of the completed IFB document and pricing through the BidNet Michigan Inter-governmental Trade Network website. Award is based on the lowest responsive and responsible bid meeting specifications, with the possibility of multiple awards. Successful bidders must provide specified liability, products liability, workers' compensation, and owner's protective liability insurance, and must provide a W-9 after award.
