Description
The City of Oak Park is requesting proposals for professional engineering oversight of the 2027 Water Main Replacement Project, M-804. The project involves replacing approximately 3,300 feet of water main, fire hydrants, gate valves, water service valves, storm pipe, and impacted driveway, roadway, and sidewalk pavement. The existing water main is expected to remain in service while the new main is constructed. Services include reviewing plans for compliance with the 10 State Standards and Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy plan-review checklists; meeting with city staff regarding comments and revisions; conducting site visits as needed; reviewing final plans and providing a professional engineer's seal and certification; reviewing the EGLE Act 399 permit application and technical specifications; reviewing the city's water-main construction guide and specifications; attending the pre-construction meeting; and reviewing shop drawings and material submittals. City staff will perform daily construction oversight and contractor-activity oversight. Proposers must provide an hourly, not-to-exceed total for all services.
