Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is soliciting a contractor to demolish and remove the existing south sewer pump line and install new Schedule 80 piping, reinforced flanges, and adequate supports at the El Paso VA Main Clinic. The contractor must provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, pump services to extract debris and sewage while sewer flow remains active, and disposal of demolished materials and waste. Welded connections are required, and the work must comply with applicable codes, OSHA and confined-space requirements, facility standards, and infection-control measures. All work must be performed after hours to minimize disruption to patients and clinic operations. The contractor must provide competent supervision, safety and work plans, quality-control documentation, required protective equipment, employee access information, and other facility coordination materials. The period of performance is 30 days from award. The solicitation uses lowest-priced technically acceptable evaluation procedures and requires three similar past-performance references completed by the offeror as prime contractor within the past three years.
