Description
Dona Ana County is soliciting proposals from qualified architectural and engineering firms for a new Northern Recreation Center. The facility is expected to include a flexible indoor gymnasium, competition, therapy, and leisure pools, fitness and weight areas, an elevated indoor walking track, locker rooms, multipurpose rooms, a commercial kitchen, administrative offices, and an outdoor youth playground. The selected firm will provide professional services across program development, site and location analysis, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration, with stakeholder input, alternatives analysis, and potential Board of County Commissioners approval at each stage. The scope also includes site selection and due diligence, facility and site design, specialty architectural and engineering services, project scheduling, cost estimating, sustainable-design recommendations, and construction supervision. The contract term is through December 31, 2027, with three additional one-year renewal options, and the project budget may not exceed $35,000,000 including applicable gross receipts tax. Addendum No. 1 extends the proposal deadline to October 28, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. local time, extends the questions deadline to October 14, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. local time, and requires offerors to acknowledge receipt of the addendum in their proposals.
