Description
Dona Ana County is soliciting proposals from qualified firms for comprehensive architectural and engineering services for a new Southern Recreation Center. The facility is expected to include a flexible indoor gymnasium, competition, therapy, and leisure pools, fitness and weight areas, an elevated indoor walking track, locker rooms, multipurpose rooms, a commercial kitchen, administrative offices, and an outdoor youth playground. The scope includes program development, site and location recommendations, sustainable-design criteria, schematic design, design development, construction documents, construction administration, stakeholder coordination, site and property due diligence, and related specialty services. The selected consultant must demonstrate comparable architectural project experience, include a New Mexico-licensed architect on the team, provide a detailed technical approach and schedule, submit three client references, and provide resumes and credentials for key personnel and subcontractors. The project budget may not exceed $35,000,000 including applicable gross receipts tax, and the anticipated contract term runs through December 31, 2027, with up to three additional one-year renewal terms.
