Description
The State of Connecticut, through the Department of Administrative Services, is soliciting a general contractor for the replacement of the chiller at Solnit South. The work includes demolition and removal of existing chiller-related equipment, pumps, piping, electrical wiring, conduits, disconnects, and controls; installation of a new chiller, pumps, piping, valves, insulation, controls, refrigerant monitoring, ventilation equipment, emergency shutdown systems, electrical feeders and disconnects; and associated mechanical and electrical coordination, testing, commissioning, permits, inspections, and closeout work. The drawings require a complete, operable mechanical system and include a one-year workmanship and materials warranty. The estimated construction cost is $1,267,965 to $1,334,700. The project is subject to prevailing wages and requires good-faith efforts toward 9.94% SBE and 3.54% MBE subcontractor or supplier participation goals. Bidders must submit the completed bid proposal form, bid security, contractor qualification statement with required experience materials, certificate of authority, and other applicable certifications and subcontractor documentation. Bids must be uploaded electronically through CTsource by the stated bid-opening deadline, and attendance at the pre-bid meeting is mandatory.
