Description
The California Department of Transportation seeks a certified Small Business, Microbusiness, Small Business for the purpose of public works, or Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise to perform flooring replacement services at Caltrans District 04, Richmond Building B. The contractor must remove and legally dispose of approximately 11,357 square feet of existing flooring and carpet and approximately 2,460 linear feet of baseboards; move and protect furniture and modular systems furniture; prepare, level, clean, and protect work areas; and furnish and install new Luxury Vinyl Tile and approximately 2,460 linear feet of four-inch commercial rubber or vinyl cove base. The scope also includes air scrubbing, dust control, edge trims and reducers, cutouts, cleaning, debris disposal, and returning work areas to their original condition. The bidder must hold a current California C-15 Flooring and Floor Covering Contractors license and Department of Industrial Relations registration. Work is to be performed after normal business hours on weekdays and on prescheduled weekends. The total quote may not exceed $484,000. Prevailing wage requirements apply when the total bid exceeds $15,000. Subcontracting is not permitted. The agreement is estimated to begin December 1, 2026, or upon approval, whichever is later, and expire November 30, 2027; work must be completed within six months after commencement unless otherwise approved.
