The California Highway Patrol is soliciting bids for as-needed evidence impound towing, recovery, and secure storage services for the Madera Area Office. The contractor must provide labor, equipment, supervision, secure storage, scene cleanup and recovery, vehicle transport, monthly storage reporting, and vehicle inspections when requested. Services must be available 24 hours per day, seven days per week, within the defined Madera Area Office geographical region. Bidders must hold a valid local city or county business license, be a CHP Madera Area Office Rotation Tow provider in good standing, have at least three verifiable years of relevant towing experience, and perform at least 75% of the work themselves. The agreement is budgeted at $170,000, with payment based on actual services and submitted rates. The anticipated term is April 1, 2027, through March 31, 2030, subject to approvals and possible extension. The award will be made to the responsive and responsible bidder offering the lowest evaluated cost.
