Description
Hernando County is soliciting primary and secondary vendors to provide towing and roadside services for its Fleet Maintenance Division. The scope includes winching and recovery, local and out-of-county towing and transportation, hook-up services, and mileage-based transportation. Contractors must respond to calls within 90 minutes, provide service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year, and have equipment capable of handling light vehicles, fire trucks, vacuum trucks, and other heavy equipment, including a rotating crane-type wrecker with a working capacity of at least 50 tons. Operators must hold applicable licenses, including Class E, Class A CDL, Class B CDL, or other required towing licenses. The resulting contract is an indefinite-quantity, non-exclusive term contract with no guaranteed minimum or maximum expenditure. The initial contract period is three years, with two additional one-year renewal options. Bids must include pricing, required vendor forms and certifications, at least three qualifying references from the past seven years, applicable license evidence, an equipment and facilities list, and a list of proposed personnel.
