Description
Allegheny County is soliciting a comprehensive water treatment program for cooling towers, chilled-water and hot-water loops, boilers, condensate systems, and other non-potable water systems at multiple County facilities. The contractor must provide treatment chemicals and microbiocides, chemical feed and control equipment, filters, testing equipment and reagents, product bulletins and safety data sheets, chemical delivery and container disposal, inventory management, and replacement or repair of specified equipment. Required services include monthly site visits and water analyses, corrosion-coupon testing, microbiological and quarterly Legionella testing, boiler and condenser-water inspections and lay-ups, equipment maintenance, written reports, operator training, manuals, laboratory support, and quarterly program-review meetings. The contractor must demonstrate at least ten years of comparable experience, hold Certified Water Technologist credentials, provide references for at least five active comparable programs, maintain a technical service facility within 150 miles of Allegheny County with 24-hour response capability, and provide the required insurance and MWDBE/VOSB good-faith-effort documentation.
